Lithuanian Airports’ June statistics show that the three airports handled a total of 653,000 passengers, which is 15% more than the same month in 2023. At the same time, this is the second month in a row that the record for passengers handled in a month has been improved, the first record having been set in May, when the result was also the highest in the LTOU network and the highest among all Baltic airports.

The total number of passengers on the LTOU network this June is 8% higher than in 2019, when 604.5 thousand passengers were recorded in the same month.

“We are witnessing a second month of record growth in aviation flows, and in June we also recorded that all airports in our country, without exception, have surpassed their pre-pandemic passenger volumes – until last month Vilnius Airport was still registering figures almost similar to those of 2019, and now we can say that we have actually surpassed the former volumes,” commented Tomas Zitikis, Head of the Route Development Department at Lithuanian Airports.

In June, 480,000 passengers travelled through Vilnius Airport (+14% more than in June 2023), 139,000 (+14%) at Kaunas Airport and 35,000 (+28%) at Palanga Airport.

In June, more than 5.4 thousand flights were handled at all Lithuanian airports (+11% more than in the same period in 2023).
