From the beginning of June, the capital\u2019s <\/span><\/span>riders<\/span><\/span> will wait for their clients at the Vilnius Airport in the place <\/span><\/span>specially <\/span><\/span>dedicated <\/span><\/span>for them<\/span><\/span>, whereas passengers will be able to find the called-up vehicle even easier. Responding to passengers\u2019 needs, Vilnius Airport will soon renew and single out by special marks a short-term parking lot just 30 meters away from the airport terminal in which riders will be able to wait conveniently for their passengers. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAn increasing number of passengers have used ride<\/span><\/span>r <\/span><\/span>services at the Vilnius Airport for which provision we have not yet had a special place. Therefore, having responding to our passengers\u2019 needs, in the largest and most convenient short-term parking lot (the <\/span><\/span>lot <\/span><\/span>is marked by P2 in the scheme) improvements will <\/span><\/span>be made<\/span><\/span> that will enable the arriving passengers looking for a called up car to find it in an easy way\u201d, told the <\/span><\/span>H<\/span><\/span>ead of Vilnius Airport Dainius \u010ciuplys.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Riding <\/span><\/span>companies will also contribute to the changes by marking the point of passenger pick-up in this lot in their applications. One of the first riders providing their services in this parking plot belong to the Bolt platform, however the solution is presented and discussion<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span> on cooperation are held with all companies providing these services. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It is claimed that this parking lot is convenient not only for vehicles providing ride services \u2013 passengers may reach the city from the aforementioned parking lot using the shared-<\/span><\/span>ride <\/span><\/span>service which has been already provided in this place by CityBee.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201c175 spaces for light duty cars are <\/span><\/span>available <\/span><\/span>in this parking lot. The number or riders, of course, each time depends <\/span><\/span>o<\/span><\/span>n the peak of flights and <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>total number of calls. However riders will have the right to <\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>top in free spaces of the lot, the closest to the pedestrian crossing leading to the terminal. A light-box and indications that will be installed in the first part of June will help riders accessing this parking lot easier\u201d, stated Mr. \u010ciuplys.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To make <\/span><\/span>a <\/span><\/span>trip home after <\/span><\/span>a<\/span><\/span> flight quicker, the airport representative recommends the passengers calling a car not just upon landing, but already after <\/span><\/span>the <\/span><\/span>disembarkation from the plane <\/span><\/span>or while <\/span><\/span>waiting for one\u2019s baggage. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As <\/span><\/span>a <\/span><\/span>survey of the previous year show<\/span><\/span>s<\/span><\/span>, the major part \u2013 37 percent of Vilnius <\/span><\/span>A<\/span><\/span>irport passengers <\/span><\/span>still<\/span><\/span> ask their family members, friends or colleagues to pick them up, however the use of riders\u2019 services has also increased and already reached nearly 11 percent.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
