Finnair<\/strong><\/a> will\u00a0restart\u00a0its\u00a0Vilnius-Helsinki service starting from the 15th of June with four weekly flights. The route will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays,\u00a0Fridays\u00a0and Sundays.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Finnair is preparing to grow its flight schedule this summer with a focus on leisure destinations, as the vaccine roll-out is expected to enable the reopening of travel in many countries.\u00a0In June, Finnair will resume flights in <\/span><\/span>Mediterranean area \u2013 including Spanish Riviera, multiple Italian, French, Portuguese destinations and the Greek islands.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

In North America, the vaccine roll-out has progressed well, and Finnair will restart flights to Chicago and Los Angeles in mid-June and increase frequencies on the New York route to up to three flights per week. The restart of these flights is still subject to the development of US travel guidelines.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In Asia Finnair\u2019s planned destinations for the coming summer are Bangkok, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Travel guidelines are likely to change in many countries during the summer. To facilitate travel planning, Finnair will introduce a new AI-powered solution for customers to explore available destinations and keep up with the latest travel restrictions in different countries. Through the new tool on Finnair.com, customers can plan their travels and prepare for their journey easily using an interactive map. The solution is produced by\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Smartvel<\/span><\/span>, a technology company\u00a0<\/span><\/span>specializing<\/span><\/span>\u00a0in destination content solutions for the travel industry.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Flexibility and peace of mind for summer travel plans\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To offer customers peace of mind for making travel plans, Finnair has a flexible ticket change policy for all bookings made by 31 August 2021. This means that customers can make changes to their travel dates regardless of their ticket type.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Finnair will continue its other safe travel measures and reviews them on a regular basis. For example, using a mask is still required for all customers and crew at the airport and onboard flights. Finnair encourages customers to arrive at the airport in good time before their flight, as travel document checks currently take more time than normal.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In line with the recommendation from the Finnish health authority, Finnair requires customers <\/span><\/span>travelling to Finland<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a> to present a negative COVID-19 test certificate,\u00a0proof of a previous COVID-19 infection\u00a0or\u00a0a COVID-19 vaccination certificate\u00a0for\u00a0<\/span><\/span>travelers<\/span><\/span>\u00a0under the age of 16, unless <\/span><\/span>you are arriving from a country for which coronavirus related entry restrictions do not apply and you have not visited a restricted country within 10 days. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
