                                            <span class=\"text-base text-charcoal line-clamp-4\">\n                                                        Lithuanian Airports (LTOU) have reported that in June, Vilnius, Kaunas and Palanga airports jointly served almost 742 thousand passengers and set another all-time record. In the first month of the calendar summer, all three airports received record passenger flows which grew by as much as 11 percent compared to June last year.\nIn May, LTOU served almost 735 thousand, in June &#8211; the Lithuanian Airports network continued to maintain record growth trends and provided services to 741.8 thousand passengers. This is as much as 11.2 per cent more than in June last year. According to LTOU data, passenger flows in the first half of this year are higher compared to the first half of the previously record-breaking year 2025. Each month of the first half of this year brought new all-time records to Lithuanian Airports.\nThe largest growth in June was achieved by Vilnius Airport \u2013 13.1 per cent. More than 547 thousand passengers chose this airport for their trips. Kaunas Airport also increased its flows significantly (by 6.4 per cent), ensuring comfortable travel for almost 156 thousand passengers. In June, the number of passengers at Palanga Airport also grew, reaching almost 39 thousand. &#8211; 4.8 per cent more compared to the same period last year. All three airports not only maintained the growth of passenger traffic in June, but also exceeded the records achieved in the same period last year.\n&quot;We are glad that June brought another all-time record to Lithuanian Airports. Despite the duration of June \u2013 only 30 days, we managed to achieve double-digit growth of 11 percent across the entire network. This means that all six months of this year have set a new record for us, which reflects the unfading desire to travel and get to know the world through new and already popular destinations,&quot; says Simonas Bartkus, CEO of Lithuanian Airports.\nIn total, 9.4 percent more flights took place on the LTOU network in June 2026 than in the same month in 2025.                                                               <span class=\"text-base text-charcoal line-clamp-4\">\n                                                        AIRINN Vilnius Airport Hotel, located next to the passenger terminal of Vilnius Airport, has announced the completion of the reconstruction of the building. The expanded hotel, which has 150 rooms and now accommodates 330 guests, has been renovated both internally and externally. More than 10 million EUR has been invested in the reconstruction project.\u00a0\n\u00a0\nAs passenger flows grow, so does the need for services\n\u00a0\nThe modernized hotel is an important part of Vilnius Airport&#039;s infrastructure, especially in adapting to the growing passenger flows.\n\u00a0\n&quot;The hotel next to the terminal is important for passengers who choose early flights. This service is particularly relevant for business, holiday travellers and guests coming to Vilnius. After the reconstruction, the hotel can offer more rooms, and the renovated building systems allow for more energy efficiency. Practical details are also important for passengers \u2013 the hotel has flight information screens, and breakfast is served from 3 a.m.,&quot; says Simonas Bartkus, CEO of Lithuanian Airports, noting that the demand for comfortable accommodation services is consistently increasing along with passenger flows.\n\u00a0\nThe aim of the renovation of the hotel was not only to improve the technical condition of the building and the quality of services, but also to ensure that the entire building complex near the terminal would look more integrated.\n\u00a0\nBartkus adds that the renovation of the hotel&#039;s fa\u00e7ade was coordinated with other works carried out at Vilnius Airport, such as the reconstruction of the central square and the new Departures terminal.\n\u00a0\nThe hotel has become more spacious and sustainable\n\u00a0\nDuring the reconstruction, an additional 25 hotel rooms were installed, so the number of rooms increased to 150. Existing spaces have been renovated, the lobby, restaurant, conference halls and other areas of the hotel have been modernized. Engineering systems have also been replaced, a recuperation system has been installed, building insulation works have been carried out, and the building&#039;s external solutions have been updated.\n\u00a0\nOne of the most important technical changes is the significant improvement in the energy efficiency of the building. Before the reconstruction, the hotel building was of energy efficiency class F, and after the works carried out, it reached class B. According to the lease agreement, the operator was obliged to achieve at least energy efficiency class C.\n\u00a0\nMore than 10 million EUR has been invested\n\u00a0\nAccording to AIRINN Vilnius Airport Hotel, over 10 million euros have been invested in the reconstruction of the building. The financing of the project was ensured by Artea Bank, which provided the company with an 8.6 million EUR loan.\n\u00a0\n&quot;During the reconstruction, the entire building was renovated. A lot of attention was paid to energy efficiency: a recuperation system was installed, insulation works were carried out, and technical solutions were changed. As a result, it will be possible to operate the building more efficiently and ensure a higher level of comfort for hotel guests,&quot; says Aleksandras Gribojedovas, CEO of AIRINN Vilnius Airport Hotel.\n\u00a0\nOne of the exceptional solutions of the project is a terrace and an aircraft observation deck installed on the roof of the building. Hotel guests will be able to use these spaces from July.\n\u00a0\n&quot;The hotel&#039;s location next to the terminal also allows us to use the airport environment. The roof terrace and the aircraft observation deck will be an additional space for guests, from which the airport&#039;s activities \u2013 aircraft taking off and landing \u2013 will be visible,&quot; says A. Gribojedovas.\n\u00a0\nPreparations for reconstruction have been underway since 2021\n\u00a0\nThe tender announced by Lithuanian Airports to rent the premises where the hotel operates was won by AirInn Vilnius at the beginning of 2021. The operator acquired the right to manage the four-storey hotel built in 1981 on Rod\u016bnios Road next to the passenger terminal of Vilnius Airport for 10 years.\n\u00a0\nThe renovation of the building was necessary due to worn-out engineering systems, low energy efficiency, equipment that no longer meets modern standards, and the need to improve the experience of passengers and hotel guests.\n\u00a0\nThe design work was carried out by Tophaus, the interior design was created by the In Arch studio.\n\u00a0\nAirInn Vilnius is a subsidiary of the hotel and restaurant management company Adelita. The sole shareholder of Adelita is the company Nordic Real Estate.                                                    <\/span>\n that on 16 June, Vilnius Airport has unveiled its new main commercial space which has been given the name VNO Plaza. The renovated area of the former departures terminal is a significant stage in the modernization of infrastructure of Vilnius Airport &#8211; it will allow to manage passenger flows more efficiently, improve the travel experience, ensure smoother operations of the airport as the number of passengers grows, and maintain the airport&#039;s competitiveness through growing commercial revenues. Various retail and catering operators will operate in the transformed space, including the largest Duty-Free store in the Baltics.\n&quot;At Vilnius Airport, we are completing another stage of infrastructure transformation and opening a new centre of attraction for passengers &#8211; VNO Plaza. This is not the final end of the entire reconstruction, but an important intermediate step: further works will move to non-Schengen areas.\nThe additional commercial income generated by the new space will enable Vilnius Airport to maintain low charges for airlines and thus remain attractive in the highly competitive European aviation market. It is said that the commercial benefits brought by the new space will indirectly contribute to attracting and retaining new airlines and destinations. VNO Plaza is the main part of the conversion of the old departures terminal, and the value of the entire reconstruction project reaches 15 million euros. It is estimated that the new space should bring about 10 million euros to the airport per year.\nThe largest Duty-Free store in the Baltics\nThe largest Duty-Free store of the Heinemann brand in the Baltic States has become the centre of the new VNO Plaza, where passengers will find not only the most popular brands, but also a significantly expanded range of Lithuanian products. The new store is 55 percent larger and occupies as much as 1,300 sq. m. Special attention was paid to Lithuanian products, for which more than 200 sq. m. have been allocated, and where travellers will be able to buy food, beverages, textiles, perfumery and other products from various local producers. Arkia Israeli Airlines will almost double the number of flights in July-August, while Wizz Air plans to resume flights a month earlier, in August.\nThe Israeli airline, Arkia, which started operations at Vilnius Airport in May, will operate as many as five direct flights per week between Vilnius and Tel Aviv during the peak season \u2013 in July and August. Currently, the airline flies between the cities three times a week.\nWizz Air plans to resume direct regular flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv on 6 August, or a month earlier than previously announced. According to the carrier, the renewed flights will be operated twice a week in August, and four times a week in subsequent months.\nDirect regular flights between Vilnius and Tel Aviv are also operated by the Israeli airline Israir.
